The SEEDER RB15TS-8M adopts a U- shaped or 3-axis robotic pan-tilt head for automated shooting. It is a broadcast-grade automated camera assist system for film and television pre-production, applicable to real-scene and AR/VR/XR/MR virtual production in studios and live events.
The telescopic jib ranges from 3.8 m to 8.0 m and automatically adjusts length according to site conditions. Operating noise is below 50 dB. It delivers full jib shooting functions and is widely used for news and feature studio recording. Camera movements start and stop completely jitter-free to guarantee usable footage. The pan-tilt head delivers effective anti-shake for telephoto shots. Powered by AI, the system automatically generates motion trajectories with up to 16 motion nodes based on motion time and distance to achieve smooth continuous curved movement for complex shots. It supports automatic frame center tracking: when manually controlling the jib’s XYZ axes, the pan-tilt head automatically pans and tilts to lock the frame center, greatly facilitating fast framing for operators.
It supports the full range of Canon and Fujinon B4-mount full-servo lenses with zoom, focus and iris control. AI auto-focus is available during synchronous movement of the jib and pan-tilt head. The system retrieves lens zoom/focus tracking data via digital lens cables and automatically compensates motor tracking delay according to latency of different lens brands. It uses black-burst synchronization and outputs 23-bit FREE-D tracking data exceeding 8.3 million counts per 360°. Three directional UDP tracking outputs with configurable ports are supported. Compatible with Vizrt, Avid (Orad), Brainstorm, Aximmetry and UE5 virtual production systems.
Modular design facilitates quick assembly and disassembly. Powered by 90–264 V AC with max. power of 800 W. Absolute encoders record position and tracking data with no startup calibration, ideal for studios and live broadcast. Standard TCP/IP protocol enables third-party control and automated operation, supporting SEEDER SeeArt, Vizrt MOSART, ROSS Overdrive and Grass Valley IGNITE studio automation systems.
Dual safety protection: four-way optical collision avoidance plus dynamic collision detection. Two optical detectors are fitted on both sides of the jib within a 20 cm range with configurable detection range. Upon obstacle detection, the system triggers an immediate pause and stops within 20 cm. It also automatically halts upon abnormal motion resistance via dynamic collision detection. Users can set home position and motion limits for safety. The system has built-in and external control systems for fast switching, plus a standard emergency stop button.
The dedicated control software controls the jib’s XYZ movement, pan-tilt head pan/tilt, and lens zoom/focus/iris via network. It manages up to 8 robotic camera units, storing 32 programs. Each program contains 16 sequences, and each sequence holds 16 scenes, totaling 8,192 editable scenes. Sequences support long curved motion and forward/reverse playback. Scene files support import and export, with independent UI per program for quick recall.
