SEEDER Releases 400G IP UHD Switcher and Multiviewer, Further Advancing IP Production Capabilities

Amid the accelerating development of UHD and IP-based production, SEEDER has officially released its new 400G IP core production equipment—the S-VM2000 IP UHD switcher and the S-MV328 IP UHD multiviewer. This launch represents a significant upgrade from the previous 200G IP product lineup, further enhancing system bandwidth capacity and production scalability to meet the demands of large-scale IP studios and complex program production.

The newly introduced S-VM2000 IP UHD switcher is equipped with dual 200GbE data ports, delivering a total system bandwidth of 400G. A single unit supports up to 32 channels of 4K or 64 channels of HD ST 2110 IP inputs, representing a substantial improvement in signal capacity compared with earlier 100G architectures. The system continues SEEDER’s “unlimited source clean switching” capability, enabling low-latency switching between any sources across the IP network within 60 ms, meeting the requirements of time-critical production environments.

In terms of production functionality, the S-VM2000 supports simultaneous landscape and portrait production. Each ME supports 8 layers of 4K video compositing, combined with 5 PiP layers, multiple transition effects, and comprehensive keying capabilities, allowing flexible adaptation to various production scenarios such as news, interviews, entertainment programs, and converged media content. The system supports Rec.709 SDR and Rec.2020 HDR color space conversion as well as up/down conversion, ensuring compatibility with multi-format production workflows. It also provides advanced virtual production capabilities, supporting 4-channel virtual studio production with independent automatic chroma keyers. Combined with garbage matte settings, it enables higher-quality compositing results and improves the efficiency of virtual content production.

The S-MV328 IP UHD multiviewer, released alongside the switcher, delivers stable and efficient multiview monitoring under the 400G architecture. The system supports up to 32 channels of 4K or 96 channels of HD ST 2110 IP inputs and provides 8 ST 2110 IP outputs as well as 4-channel DisplayPortoutputand SDI multiview outputs. It features a wide range of preset layouts for both landscape and portrait operation, while also supporting fully customizable layouts and flexible signal positioning to meet the monitoring requirements of directors, engineers, and technical operators across different roles.

In terms of system compatibility, both devices support SMPTE ST 2110-10/20/21/30/40 and ST 2022-7 standards, and are compatible with NMOS IS-04/05 for automatic discovery and management of IP streams. Standard PTP synchronization is supported to ensure precise audio and video alignment. The systems also support streaming protocols such as SRT, NDI, and RTMP, enabling seamless integration between traditional broadcast workflows and new media production.

The devices are built on a mature x86 architecture with an embedded operating system, supporting reliable 24/7 operation. A web-based interface provides unified system management and real-time status monitoring. Based on the SDF (Software Defined Function) architecture, the systems can flexibly process various audio and video formats within CPU and GPU computing limits, offering strong scalability and adaptability.
